Jim & Kathleen

As we look back on 2025, we’re feeling really grateful for another busy, memorable year filled with family time, travel, and a lot of good moments in between.
Spending time with our grandkids Charlee, Elliot, and Lylah continues to be one of the best parts of our year. Watching them grow and getting to be part of their everyday lives never gets old. One especially fun highlight was a trip to Disneyland with Lauren, Stephan, and the kids, which brought plenty of laughs and memories.
We were also lucky to do some great traveling this year. One of the biggest highlights was an incredible trip to Portugal, starting with a few days in New York City and then on to Lisbon and the island of Madeira. It was a special trip and a wonderful way to experience new places together. Followed by a quick, but very fun trip to visit our friends Scott and Brian at their new house in Seabeck, Washington.
Another special family moment from this summer was spending the 4th of July in Crested Butte with all the Potters to celebrate Alisha and Chandler’s wedding. It was a beautiful setting and such a fun time celebrating with everyone. We also had a great Thanksgiving in Sedona with Alex, Jazz, Ryan, and Ari - good food, beautiful scenery, and quality time all around.
Back at home, Jim stayed busy helping Alex with a big house project, turning their back patio into an addition, adding a bathroom, and expanding their kitchen. The project kept him busy most of the year and came with lots of lunch breaks at their favorite spot, Freddy’s.
This year also marked saying goodbye to the Seaview house in La Jolla, a place full of family memories for Kathleen over the years with her parents and siblings. While it was hard to let go, we’re grateful for all the memories made there.
Looking ahead, we’re incredibly excited to welcome another grandchild in late Feb. 2026, this time from Jazzmyn and Alex. Our family keeps growing, and we couldn’t be happier.
We’re thankful for another wonderful year and are looking forward to what’s ahead.
